- For the E(1) chord, just pull the little finger off and then hammer it back on as you hear it on the song.
- Where I have muted the B (5th) string on some of the chords, you can just as easily not as the chord sounds great with the open B too.
- In the Jools Holland ‘live’ version (Damien isn’t actually strumming, he plays to a backing CD) he misses out the first part of the second verse going straight to ‘And so it is the colder water…’ using the open E(1) chord.
- It’s easier to use the thumb for the ‘barring’ of the low E string as your index finger is often needed higher up.
- The are quite a few hammer-ons that I haven’t included since they would have taken too long to write down.
