If youre into lyrical content (which is personally my top priority), Id check out Fallout Boy - its a punk rock type band with amazing lyrics and powerful performances, but not too hardcore that you cant sing along and have fun with it.
Ryan Montbleau
If acoustic is more youre style, then Ryanis your man -a very bluesy/folk/jazz influenced artist with great lyrics and great easy going and fun music.
Two amazing gems I found (actually through Montbleaus recommendation...) include Deb Talan and Mike Witwicki --DEFINATELY worth your precious time....
